The Music Theory Society at Florida State University is pleased to announce its 36th annual Music Theory Forum to be held Saturday, January 19th, 2019 on the FSU campus in Tallahassee, Florida. We are excited to welcome Professor Stephen Rodgers (University of Oregon) as this year’s keynote speaker. The Music Theory Society is currently soliciting paper proposals on any topic related to music theory. Presentations will be twenty minutes in length followed by a ten-minute question session.

Submissions should include the following:
• An anonymous proposal of no more than 500 words, including any footnotes or endnotes. A maximum of four pages of supplementary materials may be appended;
• An anonymous abstract of 200-300 words suitable for publication;
• A cover letter written in the body of the email providing the title of the proposal, the author’s name and institutional affiliation, phone number, e-mail address, and a list of any equipment needed for the presentation.
